Connor Meets the Adelaide Crows

A couple of posts back I said how Connor was invited to go and watch the Adelaide Crows (Roo's eleven) play the Adelaide Redbacks (Lehmann's eleven) ... and mum and dad got to come along too. Thanks to Jill from the Adelaide Crows, Connor got to meet the players ... have a look at him make himself at home here in the players box having a drink with the boys. Just lucky he didn't come out with "beer" as that seems to be his latest word of the moment .. hmmm .. I don't really drink much. Just behind Connor is Simon "Goody" Goodwin, Vice Captain of the side and next to the esky is a legend from the past Tony "Mods" Modra, a brilliant full forward. The guys were very accomodating in the middle of the 20/20 cricket game which was raising funds for the Crows Foundation and Goody took time out to talk to myself and Connor. Pity Connor's response to Goody's question of who is his favourite player was "Sam" .. yesiree folks .. that would be none other than Sam from the Wiggles. He then proceeded to tell them that "Greg gone" (Sorry Greg .... Connor doesn't understand you are sick like he is .. in fact he doesn't understand he (Connor that is) is sick at all). If only ....

It was fantastic to meet the guys as I am a avid supporter of the crows, and I don't think Tarnya minded either. In fact I don't think she would have minded changing places with Connor. Now I just need to get Connor a gig with a Penthouse Pet or Playboy bunny or like ... we'll save that for another day.
