The Special Zipper to Disappear
After lengthy consideration, we have for a range of reasons decided that this blog will no longer be publically viewable. It has certainly provided a therapuetic aspect at times, awareness for many people who came in not specifically looking for cardiac related material, but almost as an afterthought a record of the rocky road we have travelled to date.
Thanks for all those that have return visited, those that have left comments etc. I hope to continue to drop past the many blogs that I have spent time at in the last couple of years and developed e friendships with.
Cheers
Tim

Hi Tim
I am sorry to hear that the blog will vanish from our sight. I guess I am one of the ones for whom it is therapeutic to read about other kids with Shone's - especially those older than Wren!
I will be thinking of you in December and hoping that there is minimal bumping of the schedule.
Wren is scheduled to have OHS this Friday (7/11) in California. We are traveling to see one of the best US heart surgeons for a procedure which may or may not turn out to be an aortic valve replacement. They are talking about a mechanical valve with warfarin if it can't be saved.
The main issue is that subaortic (LVOT) obstruction.
Anyway, I wish your family all the best and thanks and congratulations for all your work on the fundraising. We have just started a Heart Guild to support fundraising for CHD research but with this economy its going to be slow going for a while!
